Big River Nursing and Rehabilitation

Big River Nursing and Rehabilitation is located in the beautiful countryside of Jefferson County. We are a modern facility, fully committed to providing our residents with the highest quality of skilled care. We are 1 of 3 nursing homes, trained by Barnes Jewish Hospital to accept residents with LVADs. Our entire staff, even our housekeeping team, is certified with the Alzheimer’s Association. We have a state-of-the-art rehab facility, and we offer residents private or shared rooms.

While providing exceptional care is always top of mind, we understand the great importance of maintaining dignity, respect, and quality of life. Whether your stay is short-term or long-term, our goal is always to make our home your home!

Therapy and Rehabilitation

Therapy and rehabilitation is often required after accident, injury, and surgery. We offer our residents a complete range of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and respiratory therapy

Wound Care

We develop a personalized care plan for each of our residents. This includes preventative measures and specialized treatment for injury or surgery related wounds

Memory Care

Not only is our entire staff certified through the Alzheimer’s association, but we also provide a fully secured memory care unit. This enables residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s to have the freedom to participate in daily activities, without worry of roaming outside of their designated memory care unit.
